Journal 15

1. Roger doesnt have an informed consious as he chose the wrong decision as he was to lazy to put others equal to him. His consious is still low as it wouldnt be hard to save the boy.

2. Jesus loved everyone and gave everyone a chance and forgave everyone. Jesus helps us to make the right decision as he gave us life and every time you are in a tough decision you should think to yourself asking yourself what Jesus would do. If you do this Jesus is succesful and so will you be.

Journal 14

 

How Blessed are the poor in spirit; the kingdom of heaven is theirs:  Putting trust in God not things.

Blessed are the gentle; they shall have the earth as their inheritance: Humility in all we do; non violence

Blessed are those who mourn; they shall be confronted: Patient suffering and enduring hardships reap their reward: Loving God with ones whole heart, whole mind, whole soul

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for uprightness; they shall have their fill

Blessed are the merciful; they shall have mercy shown them: Getting involved; helping the downtrodden, working for the equality of people.

Blessed are the pure in heart; they shall see God: Mercy and forgiveness

    Blessed are the peacemakers; they shall be recognised as children of God: peacemaking; loving those who are hard to love

Blessed are those who are persecuted in the course of uprightness; the kingdom of heaven is theirs: Being willing to suffer for the right thing even if abused verbally or physically; accepting the consequences of living a good life

Journal 13

1. Being in a relationship with god requires me to help others in need, be kind to others and love one another.

2. If I love my neighbour this enables me to love one another and put other people equal with me. It also requires me to help others, to share what I got with others, to be friendly and welcoming and to respect the dignity of others.

Journal Entry 12

1. C)I, the Lord, am your God who brought you out of slavery. You shall have no other Gods except me. 

2. D)You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God in vain.  

3. F) Remember to keep holy the Sabbath Day.

4. H) Honour your father and your mother.

5.J) You shall not kill.

6. B)You shall not committ adultery.

7. A)You shall not steal.

8. I)You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.

9. G)You shall not covet your neighbours wife (spouse).

10.E) You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbour.

Individual task 4

1.) Give a brief description of who the Dalai Lama is? (Include resources to support)
 

His Holiness the 14th the Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso, is the head of state and spiritual leader of the Tibetan people. He was born Lhamo Dhondrub on 6 July 1935, in a small village called Taktser in northeastern Tibet. He began his education at the age of six and completed the Geshe Lharampa Degree when he was 25 in 1959.  After he was encountered holy he went around countries helping people. In 1989 he recieved the noble piece prize for all his efforts and he follows the life of a buddist monk. People also believe he chooses where you go when you die.

2.) Evaluate how the actions of the Dalai Lama in regard to the riots in Tibet would be regarded as exemplary moral integrity.

The dalai lama has a great moral integrity as when there were riots in Tibet he stood up and stopped saying that if they didnt stop that he would leave. This action he took made history and stopped the riots with great moral integrity.

 

Journal Entry 11

1.) Describe the term ‘interactive TV’.

Interactive tv means television displayed using a digital signal delivered by a range of media – cable, satellite, terrestrial. Interactions can be provided through phone line or cable service.2.) Explain the reasons why interactive TV is now called TV 2.0.Interactive TV is now called TV 2.0. that this is the second invention of tv making it able to be accessed using a computer cable.


3.) Outline the positives and negatives of implementing interactive TV.
The positives are:- it is more accessible

- people will enjoy it more as it is new

 - you will be able to watch what you want when you want 

the negatives are:

- people will become lazy and stay at home

- dvd sales will go down

- the internet would become more expensive

4.) Apple released recently Apple TV – Take 2. Describe the reasons why it needed to be changed.

When the first version of Apple came out it didnt have many features and everyone found it poor so the sales of this product went down so they made a new one with better features to rise their sales pitch.

1.) Explain the purpose of using ‘youtube’ as a source of digital media advertising?

The purpose of using youtube to advertise things is much cheaper than putting on the radio, in the newspaper or on tv and that now a days the internet is used more than tvs and that with the technology people use the internet. You tube is also a well known site.

2.) Discuss how collaborative media sites such as youtube, myspace and bebo have changed the current boundaries of media such as news, advertising ect.

These sites have changed the boundries of media such as news and advertising. They have made it easy to advertise and show the news as when you log in on the side tab there are advertisements advertising products and sometimes there are news headlines which are important and it also shows the weather. The reason these sites are doing this is because a lot of people use these sites and they will advertise mor quicker. 

3.) Provide a link to an advertising commercial on youtube.

Journal Entry 9

1.) Define the term ‘digital media’.

Digital media is the latest technology like computers, phones, ipods, tvs etc. These devices are electronic and are from the latest generation which is the youths of the world.
 

2.) How has digital media evolved over the last 5-10 years? 

5-10 Years ago there were not many digital media and if they were they were simple things not evolved. Now a days there a lot of electronics that are evolved and can do much greater things that they would of did 5-10 years ago. For example: 10 years ago there were no mobile phones with cameras and the tvs were black and with. These days every new phone has a camera and every purchased from a store is a colour tv.

3.) Discuss the reasons why digital newspapers are extremely popular?

Digital media is much more convenient to people because

- it is cheaper to read as you dont have to purchase a newspaper everyday to find out the news you can read it online for free

- it is also so easy to read newspapers online as it is much easier than purchasing it from shops it is there on the internet and all you have to do is look it up on the internet which will take no time at all.

Journal Entry 8

1.) Watch the following clip:

Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

I would tell the young people to stop and break it up if they are younger than me and I will also call for help if the elderly man is help.

Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

I would say no to the girl and then leave the house and not like any more as she is doing the wrong thing and is very immature.

Describe what is a person’s ‘conscience’.

A conscience is the right maturity to tell the difference between right and wrong and it is what leads a person to complete actions.

2.) Watch the following clip:

Describe how a persons conscience works in making moral decisions. Explain the relationship between religion and conscience.

A persons conscience makes the moral decisions as it is a feeling telling you to do the right things and it is linked to religion as it helps you choose what is good or bad and what is immoral and moral.
